As part of our commitment to developing our pupils’ vocabulary, we have launched a whole school ‘Word of the Week’ which pupils will be introduced to during form time each Monday morning. For the rest of this academic year, we will practise using the word and support pupils to absorb the words into their daily vocabulary.

Research tells us that having a wide vocabulary empowers children and adults to participate confidently and meaningfully in the world around them.  We want to empower our pupils.
