Scouts

Scouts

Scouts is the largest youth organisation in the world, with over 40 million members around the globe, offering opportunities to provide fun, adventure and skills for life. The activities included in scouts give young people the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors and take part in a range of creative, community and international events. Scouts are enabled to interact with others, make new friends, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

With the core values of scouting complimenting the values and beliefs of Muslims around the world, it’s no wonder that 70% of the membership is made up of Muslims – that’s a staggering 28 million Muslim scouts around the world! Currently, Year 7 pupils are accessing the Schools’ Girl Scouts programme every Friday 12:30-2pm.

To name but a few benefits of Scouting, the most pertinent are that young people gain skills for life, develop confidence and work on the desire to make the world a better place. In essence, they can ‘be the change they wish to see in the world’.
