Recently, Our school successfully collaborated with Benefit Mankind to initiate a tree-planting project in Indonesia. This endeavour aims to combat climate change while simultaneously supporting the local residents. By planting trees, we are making a significant contribution to environmental sustainability and providing economic opportunities for the community.
PMGHS recently hosted an exciting Seerah competition that brought together pupils from different forms to showcase their knowledge of the life of the Prophet PBUH. The competition was structured so that students faced off against one another in their year groups, creating a spirited atmosphere as they competed for a place in the final.
As the competition progressed, the excitement built, leading to an intense final round that had everyone on the edge of their seats. The dedication and enthusiasm displayed by all participants were truly commendable. Congratulations to the winners of Form 10G, Umme-Kulthoom Gangat and Habibah Islam!
This event was not only a competition but also a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved to learn something new about the profound teachings and life of the Prophet PBUH. Well Done to all the pupils who represented their form during this competition!
On 27th September, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning and it was a wonderful event! The community came together to enjoy a fantastic assortment of sweet and savoury treats, along with some delicious bakes. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, filled with laughter and conversation. Thanks to everyone’s generous contributions, we raised a total of £880 to support those affected by cancer. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, baked, and participated. Your support truly makes a difference!
The school’s annual charity bake-off was a delightful event this year! The contestants, all teachers, faced the challenge of creating a three-tier sprinkle surprise cake in just an hour. Despite the challenges they encountered along the way, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed watching the teachers in action. In the end, the deserving winners of the competition were Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Nalla, who impressed everyone with their baking skills and creativity. It was a sweet victory for them!
The pupils at PMGHS successfully raised a substantial amount for Angel Charity, dedicated to supporting Kenya by providing food packs for the disadvantaged. Their admirable efforts and commitment to this cause exemplify their compassion and selflessness. It is truly heartening to witness such a display of generosity from the students. The impact of their fundraising endeavours will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of those in need in Kenya, showcasing the power of unity and kindness in creating positive change. A massive well done to them!
