Our school is an environment which stimulates, maintains and develops an enquiring mind; we expose our pupils to reading material whenever possible.  ‘Restaurant Reads’ allows us to encourage reading at lunchtime.  Our pupils are able to sit and read whilst enjoying their snacks and meals in the hall.  There are news articles, stories, facts, and information about inspirational people and the world around them displayed on the tables. These resources are not only linked to subjects such as Science and Geography, but also help our pupils improve their vocabulary and general knowledge, broadening their understanding of various topics. Additionally, the Restaurant Reads feature the Word of the Week, providing further opportunities for pupils to engage with and reinforce the vocabulary.
