2021 GCSE Results
Over 350 grades 8 and 9 were achieved across many subjects
According to the latest, official GCSE results (pre-Covid), we have been the top performing secondary school for progress in the whole of Lancashire for three consecutive years, with a progress score that places us 11th in the whole country. In 2021, our progress score increased again; a fantastic achievement! A special well done to Fatimah Zohrah Hamid, Zubash Umar, Eiman Bibi, Fatima-Batool Shah and Leylah Hafeji who between them have netted an impressive 49 grades at grades 8 and 9, the highest available. Our most improved pupil is Sadia Ahmed who, on average, made almost four grades more progress than she would have been expected to make based on her KS2 results; a truly amazing feat!
Grades 8 and 9 demonstrate the very highest performance of pupils across the country. At PMGHS, we are delighted to report that over 350 grades 8 and 9 (214 grades at 8 and 145 grades at 9) were achieved across all of the subjects.
Over 60% (62.2%) of all of the grades achieved in the School were at grades 9 – 7, with 98% of the grades being at 9 – 4. This was an increase from the 2020 results, which saw 58% at grades 9 – 7, with 98% at grades 9 – 4.
Our headlines for 2021 are:
- 13 subjects achieved 100% pass rate
- 18 subjects achieved 90+% pass rate
- Over 60% of all grades achieved were the top grades 7, 8 and 9
Congratulations to all of our pupils; these results give you an excellent foundation to build upon. In addition, many thanks to our parents and governors for all of their support
