Year 8 Science Trip

8B have been studying Ecology in their Science lessons. We decided to take our classroom out to the park where we could experience Ecology first hand. We walked over to Moor Park and had our lunch together before looking for suitable habitats and environments. We talked about which living organisms would live in the trees and under the stones. We collected leaves to be able to identify in the next lesson and 8B were able to look at the butterflies and flies around the flowers. One of the highlights of the afternoon was meeting some local resident’s pet dogs and laughing at Summi Apa and Miss Ahmed running away from them. We returned to school after a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon where 8B learned about nature in a very different way.
