GCSE Awards Ceremony ‘An Evening to Remember’
The doors at The Imperial Banqueting, Preston were opened wide for the pupils, staff, parents and governors on Friday 15th November, as our former Year 11s came together one last time to celebrate their achievements. At this glittering event, Year 11s were awarded certificates and prizes for their outstanding achievements and they also received their much-awaited GCSE Certificates, hoodies and gifts from the school.
This was a truly amazing event that celebrated the achievements of our pupils and gave us a moment to reflect with parents, pupils, governors and staff on what makes PMGHS a special place to come to. Everybody says that we ask a lot of our staff and pupils, and it is true, but the rewards are also high, as we saw on Friday night.
Many of our Parents and guests were moved by the nasheeds and speeches delivered by our pupils. Our guest speaker Tahreem Haq, delivered a speech that wove together recollections of her time at PMGHS, the growth of her own spirituality and an inspiring call to our pupils to be outstanding students, outstanding Muslimahs and embodiment of the values that PMGHS has instilled within them. She certainly gave our girls a lot to think about.
The evening concluded with words of wisdom from the Headteacher.
A huge well done to all our pupils! We wish you the very best in the future. Our prayers and best wishes are with you. We wish you great success and happiness in your endeavours. May the Almighty shower you with his blessings, now and in the future.
Thanks to all of the staff at the Imperial for the arrangements and the catering, all of which were top notch.
