Wednesday 10 July – Go4SET STEM Challenge 2019

Maryam Isap, Aaliyah Patel, Madihah Polli, Zubash Umar, Fatima Hamid and Fatima Batool Shah had been selected to take part in the STEM project. The project was a 10 week, environmentally-themed STEM scheme for Year 8/9 students from across the North West. During the project, pupils were mentored by a professional from the STEM industry and develop essential skills such as teamwork, project management, report writing and pitching.

The pupils worked towards completion of the School project within STEM Club time and the finished piece of work was presented at the Celebration/Graduation Day, where a panel of industry professionals assessed the projects from each school.

Congratulations to the STEM pupils for achieving a bronze award with the industrial cadets. A huge thank you to our mentors Tracey and Melissa from AMRC, parents, staff & governors who attended the event to show their support.

This was fantastic opportunity for the pupils to be involved with an exciting science initiative, allowing them to apply their learning to a new challenge, outside of the classroom.
