Head and Deputy Head girl announcement

The votes have been counted and verified. Pupils at PMGHS have chosen their Head Girls! What a proud moment for the Head teacher to announce the new 2019 Head and Deputy Head Girl.

Head Girl: Fowziyah Adam

Deputy Head Girl: Kawther Bodi

An inspiring message is delivered by Mufti Javid  to our young girls, empowering them to dream big, stay humble and be the very best they can.

The Head Girl shared a few encouraging words with the pupils

‘Nothing can dim the light that shines from within’

Don’t let anybody doubt you, if you believe in yourself and put your mind to it then you can achieve almost anything.

Duty begins

‘I don’t just speak the change, I make the change’

The newly appointed prefects pledged the following oath:

Prefect Oath

We, the prefects of Preston Muslim Girls High School

  • Promise to do our best in carrying out our duties
  • Be truthful and just in whatever we do.
  • We will always do our best to look into the well-being of our school.
  • We will always honour our school Ethos of Patience, Modesty, Gratitude, Humility and Sincerity.
  • We will carry out our duties efficiently, and lead by example.

The Head and Deputy Head Girl have their first meeting with Mufti Javid.

“With every privilege and position comes a responsibility.”

Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects.

The girls are made aware of their roles and responsibilities and given an insight in to the excitement and challenges that they will face with the role, and how to overcome them.

Key messages from Mufti Javid – Lead by example, be a role model, manage effectively, work smart, persevere, use your initiative, be fair, be firm, be honest, be approachable, work hard be kind and be the very best you can.

The school would like to wish them great success with their endeavours in serving the school. We hope their contribution to the school is fruitful and of great benefit.
