As part of our school careers’ programme, we arranged workshops run by our school careers’ adviser, Mrs King. Pupils will learn to develop important skills that they will need for their future when the time comes for completing college, university and/or job applications.
Pupils will need to produce a written CV in preparation for a mock interview that she will be having on our Y11 Careers’ Day (17th October 2019). These mock interviews are conducted by local employees who are volunteering their time to help our pupils. Local companies who have already signed up to our careers’ day include Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust, Northern Rail and the DWP.
If you would like to get involved in the School’s careers’ programme and share your own knowledge and expertise with our pupils, we would love for you to get in touch! Involvement may include volunteering to talk to a group of pupils about your work, hosting a small number of pupils at your place of work for an educational visit or providing a work experience placement to one of our Year 10 pupils. Please contact Mrs Holland via the School email address for further details: firstname.lastname@example.org
