Year 6 pupils from Queens Drive Primary School visit our school as part of a collaborative reading initiative.
The English department are taking part in an exciting reading initiative with various other schools in Preston. The main purpose of this is to inspire pupils and encourage them to read for pleasure, and in the process, improve their creativity, communication and writing skills.
As part of this programme, the girls delivered a ‘collaborative reading session to Year 6 pupils from Queens Drive Primary School, Preston. This was an exciting opportunity where our pupils were given the opportunity to develop confidence and learn leadership skills whilst practicing their reading skills. We hope these transferable skills will help to lay the foundation for their future.
