Van Gogh Alive sits within a stunning, purpose-built venue in Salford Quays at MediaCity and is a thrilling display of over 3,000 images in a multi-sensory experience. The Art department organised the trip for GCSE pupils to see Van Gogh Alive, one of the most anticipated visitor attractions in Manchester this Autumn.
Pupils were able to explore the work and life experiences of Van Gogh during the period 1880 to 1890 where he created many of his timeless masterpieces. This experience isn’t just about looking at his paintings but stepping inside an exciting and vibrant world of light, colour, and sound to feel their power. The visit will support the GCSE specification and enhance pupils’ portfolio work.
